	GUCC at Junior World Series Tournament 19-21 Jan, 2010

	LEO DRAKE-ROGERS (GUCC Y8) starred in the recent Junior World Series Tournament at Devonport Domain. Leo was named Best Bowler in the Senior League, outperforming strong competition from North Harbour Rep Players. This is the 2nd time Leo has won this award at the Tournament. JACK PARSONS and TATE WALKER played great cricket to help the Australia team to Runner Up position in the Senior League. Both LEO and TATE were also named in the WORLD X1 team In the Middle League, SACHIN BHANA played in the Championship final with his Australian team coming Runners Up. Sachin normally plays Y4 incrediball, so this was a great step up to Y5-6 hardball. The Junior League (6-9yr olds) saw a fantastic win by the NZ team at the end of 3 big days of competition. Grafton boys FINTAN O'SULLIVAN (Y4), brother MALACHY O'SULLIVAN (Y3) and GEORGE PARSONS (Y2) played in a very tight and exciting final, with their NZ team winning by 6 runs. All 3 boys bowled and fielded exceptionally well.
